WIM was the call sign of the early 600λ transmitter at the great RCA coastal station located at Chatham and Marion, Massachusetts. 

WIM was the companion to the world-renowned ChathamRadio/WCC, which operated on HF.

You will find W1WIM operating CW in the tradition of coastal station WIM.

Additionally, the W1WIM callsign is used during contests.
